eBay Threatens Fraud Charges Refusing To Refund Deposit NPB

Post by Doc » August 25th, 2005, 8:51 am

In this thread: http://forums.ebay.com/db1/thread.jspa? ... 4920106173 A buyer sent a 500.00 deposit by PayPal for a truck auction. The buyer later changed his mind about completing the transaction, and wants his deposit back!

The thread got even more heated up when [email protected] said
I should add, that since you did not put in the listing that the deposit is non-refundable, the buyer is eligible to file a fraud complaint against your account.

It is a known fact that eBay will stick it to a seller with the fees! And take the buyers side. BUT Winning An Auction on eBay is supposed to be a Binding Contract!

Now i can see if the vehicle was misrepresented why a buyer should get their deposit back, but Buyers Remorse is another!

The whole thread is duplicated here: http://www.ebaymotorssucks.com/refundabledeposit.htm

What are your thoughts on this??
